B…Be Positive

Dig out negative self talk and naysayers and welcome in positive thoughts and people.

img_02741I’m sure you’ve heard that plants grow better if you talk to them. Why? Who knows for sure but I’ll bet it has something to do with nurturing, support and positive energy.

Let’s apply this to you. If you are infusing your mind with optimistic, encouraging and affirmative language, then you’re going to keep growing. It’s that simple. You are your own best support system and you can either choose to propel yourself forward or hold yourself back. Remember, we want to grow blooms here, not weeds!

So if you are always saying, “Nothing really works out for me” …then nothing will (work out for you). If you think, “I don’t have luck in relationships,” …it will probably be difficult for a willing partner to show up. And, if the tape in your head is stuck on “It’s impossible to get ahead,” no need to wonder any further why you are stagnant. How about rewinding those tapes and recording over the same old messages with something different?

The people out there who are sprouting are digging in and planting their seeds in fertile ground where possibilities, ideas and creativity exist. If your negative self talk is stunting your growth, look at the positive side and till your soil to find encouraging and inspiring thoughts underneath. “I am grateful and everything works out the way it should”, “I will welcome a wonderful relationship into my life,” or “I can get ahead if I want to.”

As for the people in your life who are all but positive, you also may have to do some pruning. Unless a relationship is unhealthy, this doesn’t mean you have to cut people out altogether. Instead snip away at their negative messages by redirecting the conversation or your interactions to be more productive or at the very least neutral in nature.  And spend less time dwelling on things that don’t matter.  A plus is to develop new connections with people who can help lift you to your next level, bring out the best in you and who give you the freedom to grow.

When you dig out negative messages, till your thoughts and make the choice to Be Positive, you plant your first seed to Bloom
