Guest: Deborah Santana
LISTEN on Bloom Talk Radio (pre-recorded)
Aired: Thursday, March 18th

Deborah Santana is an author, philanthropist, supporter of peace and social justice, and mother of three. Her memoir, Space Between The Stars: My Journey to an Open Heart, published in March 2005, is about her quest for self discovery going beyond the context of her famous ex-husband Carlos Santana, with a goal to give others encouragement and stamina to soar.  Hers is a voice of hope and joy for women.

Among many philanthropic endeavors, Ms. Santana is founder of Do A Little, a donor advised fund at the San Francisco Foundation, whose mission is to help women become healthy, educated and happy. “I want to support women as leaders, and as owners of our futures and to encourage women to grow in whatever ways bring happiness and peace.” She also produced a film, Road to Ingwavuma, about the services provided to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS as a result of a 2006 trip to South Africa.

Deborah believes life is to be lived with integrity, compassion and love. She will join us after returning from Kenya to see a secondary school for girls that her non-profit supports, and will share her personal stories of strength to encourage you on your own personal journey.
